We transporting goods across borders in long transit with such sophisticated customs facilities and international conundrum of VAT tariffs. There is extensive research on how much energy we are spending to do so, and additional infrastructure we are extensively consuming along the way. It is being estimated that more than 100 million cubic metres of wood per year is being used globally for wooden transport packaging.
ReeHT project would like to present some of this material transformed into a utilitarian, functional product that can perfectly serve our needs…
Following the successful launch of Project HT001 in 2025 with design everything, we decided to further explore the possibilities of using simple transportation bearing beams as the foundation for a new collection. We are currently developing a series of functional designs that treat these industrial elements as an unfinished source of construction material. The project aims to celebrate the beauty of simple materials and straightforward methods of assembly.
Our ambition is to create designs that suit contemporary lifestyles without following short-lived trends. Instead, we want to promote responsible, practical, design that reflects the urgent need to build a stronger alternative to today’s culture of consumerism.
The collection will consist of everyday objects, including benches, stools, tables, shelving systems, bed frames, and other functional furniture. This is only the beginning—there are many more ideas to explore and even more material waiting to be transformed.
