This small cabinet by StorqueStudios came about with a little bit of a delay; the material was found around the corner from the Storque studio, in a local skip of luxury furniture makers. Walnut panels had been discarded, most likely due to mis-measurement. The volume of material was big and the time wasn’t the right to crystalize any ideas – so the designers let it rest outside for a little while. Winter came and then another winter came. There was no progress whatsoever, yet this walnut pile sat waiting… Active, alert, and responsive; It behaved perhaps like a wolverine, or in Polish/ rosomak; obstinate, pugnacious and fiesty, just like the potential ideas it needed which were not hibernating. The creature finally took shape into what we came to know it; “Rosomak”; a garage unit.
