The amount of good “stuff” you can find on the streets of London can be overwhelming.These beautiful Ash wood frames were found on Markfield Road in North london, on a journey back home from the Workshop. In great condition, these frames had beautiful hardwood joinery and lots of potential. We couldn’t help ourselves…
With every intention to retain the unique character and geometry of these chairs, Storquestudios’ idea was to emphasise their structure harmoniously with other natural material. The original worn cushion on both chairs has been replaced with cowhide leather.
The original frame finish has been stripped to embrace ash wood… We touched these chairs with a light oil finish, and have added stainless steel details on each chairs side, to harness frame support.
Each chair was individually remodelled by hand, and both have a unique feel and quality.
